African Bloodstone is a form of Chalcedony and Jasper, also known as Setonite, and has been mined in Madagascar, Ethiopia and it has been used in jewelry dating back to ancient Egypt/Kemet culture.  Energetically, Bloodstone is a cleanser and amplifier stone, meaning that it removes or blocks negative influences and vibrations, allowing positive healing vibrations of a higher frequency to naturally come in.  This transformative crystal also teaches us how to be flexible in order to solve problems and to recognize that chaos is sometimes necessary if transformations are to take place. No broken eggs? No Omelet. Energy practitioners say it can help with infections and a depleted immune system, including detoxification of the circulatory,  lymphatic systems and supporting the liver, kidneys & lungs.  Setonite also aligns the heart with the root chakra allowing the user to use discernment in seeing past external ‘perceived’ chaos, cut right to the chase, lift the mental fog, and plow forward with confidence. This stone is very much like how garlic works on the physical body, purging energetic parasites in the auric body; strong, effective, and not for sensitive individuals in heavy doses.  Like Moldavite, if you are more sensitive, limit your hours with this stone and place on selenite to allow it, and you, to chill.  Come back to it at another time, it will be there when you are ready.

When you order a piece from our shop, if it is not specifically listed, it will be intuitively picked for you.  Every item that we handpick will not be the same.  Ever.  Each piece is intricately unique and as there is no ‘sameness’ in nature, the patterns that you see in the picture may not match what you receive as every stone is unique as you are (and definitely non-fabricated).  If it is a multicolored toned stone, we will try to accommodate any request that you add to the ‘Additional comments’ section on your order form.  Example: Red Moss Agate: “Please send a stone/specimen that is mostly red” or “I would like to have a piece with a balance of both red and green.”
